Department of Pharmacology Assistant Professor Edgardo Rodriguez, Ph.D., has won the 2016 Excellence Award for Assistant Professors.
Rodriguez was chosen for the award by a committee of Distinguished Professors and Eminent Scholars at University of Florida, who had to choose this year’s winner from a long list of faculty, each of whom are working on inspiring research.
In naming Rodriguez as the winner UF Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs said the “committee focused on the quality and innovativeness of the research, and sought to balance the diverse intellectual streams the candidates represented. In the course of the committee’s deliberations, Dr. Rodriguez emerged as being uniquely worthy of this award.”
