Katherine Wright Receives Postdoctoral Fellowship

Dr. Wright was recently awarded a prestigious three-year fellowship from the National Institutes of Health and National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders (NIDCD) to study the brain mechanisms that allow for odor hedonics.

In her postdoctoral NRSA F32 fellowship, titled, “Learned odor preferences and estradiol,” Dr. Wright will use in vivo neural recordings and brain-region specific pharmacological manipulations in behaving mice to determine how brain-derived estradiol influences the representation of odor-guided perceptions and preferences by ventral striatum neurons.

Congratulations, Katherine!
