Interests
I am a graduate of the department of Pharmacology and Therapeutics here at the University of Florida. During my graduate work, my studies focused on cancer biology and the development of novel therapeutics using in silico molecular docking. I then worked at UF in the colleges of Medicine and Pharmacy, studying drug metabolism, drug resistance and exploring next-generation sequencing as a means to identify new targets in the treatment of lymphoma.
I enjoy teaching and have taught at the high school, undergraduate and graduate levels. Having returned to my previous department, I’m able to combine my scientific and teaching skill-sets to further the educational mission of the department. In addition to teaching professional and graduate students, my primary role is in coordinating our online graduate programs.
