Jeremy Yuan & Sarah Sniffen Awarded at UF Medical Guild

We are proud to congratulate our researchers, Sarah Sniffen and Qingchen (Jeremy) Yuan, on each winning a Bronze award at the 2026 University of Florida Medical Guild symposium!

The UF Medical Guild recognizes outstanding research from biomedical graduate students in the College of Medicine.

  • Sarah Sniffen, a PhD Student in the Wesson Lab, was awarded for her project titled, “Neural circuits directing emotional responses to odors.”
  • Qingchen (Jeremy) Yuan, a PhD Candidate in the Guryanova Lab, was awarded for his project, “Clonal hematopoiesis-related loss of Dnmt3a deregulates trained immunity to impede cancer control.”

Their success highlights the innovative and impactful science they are pursuing. Congratulations to both on this well-deserved recognition!
