The team of Chao Xie, Ph.D, Julien Habif, Kirill Ukhanov, PhD, Cedric Uytingco, PhD, Lian Zhang, PhD, Robert Campbell and Jeffrey Martens, PhD report that aberrant ciliary redistribution of phospholipid PI(4,5)P2 and filament-actin are necessary for olfactory cilia disassembly and contribute to the pathogenesis of Bardet-Biedl syndrome.
