The APS Respiration Section New Investigator Award recognizes an outstanding investigator in the early stages of his or her career. Candidates are investigators who have made meritorious contributions to the area represented by the Respiration Section and are judged on their publications, how the publications relate to the Respiration Section, evidence for independence and promise (grant funding, peer review activities, etc.) and level of participation in Experimental Biology and APS-related activities. Dr. Levitt will be recognized and will receive this award at the 2021 Experimental Biology Conference during the Julius H. Comrowe Jr. Distinguished Lecture on April 27, 2021.
