On Jan. 14, the research journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences published a paper from our department’s Joe Flores-Toro, a graduate student, and Dr. Jeffrey Harrison. The paper, titled, “CCR2 inhibition reduces tumor myeloid cells and unmasks a checkpoint inhibitor effect to slow progression of resistant murine gliomas,” discusses a new combination therapy that slows deadly brain tumor in mice.
